Who doesn't love Texas weather?

So I love the rain and stormy weather a lot. I love sitting out on the balcony with Greg just watching the storms play out. Texas storms are a little different than what I'm used to though. Here the thunder gets so loud that even when you're inside the comfort of your own bed, your whole house is shakes with every boom of thunder and it looks like daylight when the thunder strikes. Also, these storms can come out of absolutely no where and have a river running through your parking lot in about 2 minutes. Another fun thing we've experienced with Texas storms are the gargantuan hail that can produce and cause enough noise to wake the dead. Greg and I were watching the storm and literally yelling to hear each other over the hail. This particular storm that took place only a few days ago, was INSANE. I loved it!! hahaha. We were watching as people were running around outside getting in their cars and trying to put them under the car ports or trees because the hail was just falling like rocks on to the cars. Thankfully ours were covered. After it was over, seemed like everyone wanted to assess the damage so people were all out checking their cars and walking through heal deep rivers on the ground. Just as fast as it hit and as hard as it was, it was gone just as quickly and was silent. Love Texas weather!!

Yoga Rocks!

So, thanks to the talented Lauren, I have come back around to my love of yoga. I hadn't done it in over a year and forgot what a great work out it is. Not to mention how fun and relaxing it is at the same time. The gym at our apartment is perfect for doing it so we just move a few things out of the way and crank some soothing tunes and get our yoga on. We did it twice this week and both times, the next day I sure felt it. All sorts of muscles get a work out doing it with her but I LOVE it. I'm not the most flexible in the bunch, but someday, probably not in the near future, I'd love to be able to do these moves....

Haha, I love it. Lauren should have her own yoga studio. She's fun to do yoga with and is an awesome instructor!  Anyone who wants to, we're hoping to do it at least once a week usually around 7. It's a blast and the husbands can even come! They usually opt for playing basket ball but who knows, one of these days I'm gonna get Greg to willingly participate! LOL

Maggiano's with the Gang

Continuing with weekend events, we got a big group of friends together for a fun dinner over at Maggiano's Little Italy. It was good but just really fun to have our friends together and catch up and laugh. After that, we met up at the Fox's house and just sat around and talked. Somehow we ended up all talking turns telling about our most embaressing moments. I laughed so hard my face hurt. That's what I really should have got pictures of because watching everyone laugh till they cried was too funny! Great times with our friends here in good ol' Texas.

Top Secret Dinner

This weekend was off to an awesome start with our dinner we won at the relief society auction. Two sisters from our ward offered to make a big dinner for six of us girls. Their theme was "Top Secret Recipes" from different restaurants around the area. It was delicious and fun getting to know knew things about all the girls.

Let's Shop!

Finally, it's here! My website is up and running. For the longest time, I have been trying to teach myself how to sew and craft and what not and some of my creations, are actually turning out. I love creating baby and hair accessories mostly but am hoping to branch out one day. Follow in the grand footsteps of my Grandma, the best seamstress around! Anyways, I want to introduce some of the things I have been working on lately. If you can't tell, I'm a little anxious for a baby of our own, though not sure what I'm gonna do if we have all boys. I like making bows and big daisy headbands way too much! :) I'll be adding stuff and rearranging things a lot so check back for new additions. Anyways, if you'd like to visit, the site it is www.loveandasewingmachine.com.
