Ever Olivia ~ 6 Months Old

Baby Ev,

      Half a year has flown by so fast baby girl! Daddy and I are amazed at how much you have grown in the last 6 months. It has been a huge month of milestones for all of us too. You now sit up all by yourself and love to just play with your toys and watch mom and the kitty move around the house. I'll just set your toy basket in front of you and you go to town yanking out things left and right. You'll grab a toy, put it in your mouth for a bit, then move on to your next toy until you get to the bottom of the basket.
     
      We are super excited because you got your first two teeth this month! Two little chompers on your bottom gums. It's made our nights a little longer but they are just so cute peeking through your gums. If I thought your smile was adorable before, now it's just irresistible and I love it even more! This month we also started feeding you your first taste of baby food! Mmmm yum! So far we have only tried pureed sweet potatoes and pears. Pears are your favorite so far. We really enjoy watching you eat. It's a whole production as your still learning what to do with solid food in your mouth. You're getting better each day and can keep most of it in your mouth now. First try was super cute. You really didn't know what to think and made the best faces.

      You had your first two play dates this month as well. First you were playing with Cole and Aiden but you pretty much stared at them because they are a year older than you but that didn't stop those sweet boys from  trying to love on you. Second play date, we had the girls over too. You got to play with a bunch of your little friends including Cole, Aiden, Pepper, Avery and baby boy Morrell (to be named soon). It was adorable watching all the babies interact and you had a great time with them.

      You have grown so beautifully and are weighing a hefty18 pounds now and showing more personality by the day. You're picking up on things like, screaming = mom getting the toy I dropped,  smiling at anyone = huge smiles in return, grabbing the cats tail = getting hissed at by the kitty. You are learning so fast and it's incredible to watch you learn something so you know what to do next time. Already so smart love. Keeping growing beautiful and strong. We love you to pieces baby girl!

Ever Olivia ~ 5 Months Old

Sweetest Everkins,

5 months today and you're getting bigger by the minute! Strangers at the craft store will see you and say, "Boy she's a good eater!" haha. We love it! You are our big girl and are just beautiful! We had more of a relaxing month of July after all the craziness in June. All your cousins and grandparents just miss you like crazy. We swam a lot this month and you are getting so comfortable in the water. You love just being held and floating around in your little bumblebee. When we try to stretch you out to kick your legs you try to stick your face in the water and just gulp. It's pretty darn cute!

We got you a few new toys this month and you are in love with them! One is your little rain forest bouncer that you stand up in and it is so funny to watch you. You just laugh and jump around, we could watch it all day. Then we got you a little play mat with toys hanging from the top for you to play with. That's another favorite of yours. Ever since you learned to role over last month you can't get enough of it. You really seem to enjoy being on your tummy a lot more but haven't quite figured out how to role back the other way.

If it's even possible this month you talk more than ever. You love to just jabber all day long and laugh and squeal and make any other noise you learn how. You are closer to sitting up on your own and actually prefer to but in that position so you can look around and see everybody. Mommy and Daddy's friends tell us all the time the you are just the happiest smiley baby and it's true. Ever time I look at you and you see me looking you bust out in a huge gummy grin. My favorite thing you do lately is when you wake up from your naps. I'll hear you wake up and your just talking and rolling around in your bed. Then when I go in there and you notice me you look up and just smile and laugh and look like your are so happy to see your mom. I love it! You make mommy and daddy so very happy baby girl! We love you more than ever sweet babe and can't wait to see what next month brings!

Ever Olivia ~ 4 Months Old

Evie Girl,

4 Months old and you have done so much this last month! Besides growing before our eyes you got to met so many new people that just adore you! You made your first trip to Utah to visit a lot of family and see Daddy's brother get married. You got to meet your Great Grandparents who couldn't get enough of you. You also got to meet more of your cousins, aunt and uncles that you also have wrapped around your little finger. Your Grandma and Grandpa Hammond came to Texas and meet you as well. They loved you so much they wanted to pack you and take you home with them!

It has been a huge month for milestones too baby girl. You rolled over for the first time and it was beautiful! Grandma and Grandpa were lucky enough to be out here when you did it the first time and we all just cheered! So cute. You have also discovered your toes and love to hold your legs up and hang on the them. Your discovering how good they taste because they are in your mouth a lot just like everything else you can get your little paws on. Your also about to sit up on your on too. You can sit up if you're leaning on your arms but then topple over after a few seconds. It's adorable to watch. 

No teeth yet but you drool more than a puppy so we're sure they are coming any day now. You have come around to smiling at just about anyone who holds you. We miss seeing all the family because you just smiled for a two weeks straight! You love when people smile at you and you always return an adorable gummy grin! Pretty sure you want to start eating real food now cuz you always reach for mommy's when she's eating. You really love to reach out and grab anything and everything though. 

You just got your 4 month shots a few days ago and you were so brave! You didn't even cry! They gave you two big shots and some little drink with medicine in it. That was adorable. It was really sweet tasting and you were pulling the cutest face. I don't think you really enjoyed it. The doctor says you are growing right on schedule though. You are actually in the 99th percentile for height. Since you were born you have already grown 7 inches. You are now 27 inches tall! You are in the 95th percentile for weight and are a healthy 15.5 pounds now! You're gonna be tall just like your momma. 

It has been an amazing 4 months watching your grow and see your personality coming out. Daddy and I were really blessed with such a happy baby and we love seeing you smile at us everyday! We love you more and more everyday little bug!

Ever Olivia ~ 3 Months

Baby Ev,

Three months in the blink of an eye baby girl. You are getting bigger and more beautiful every day honey. The older you get the more active and amazing you become. You smile and talk at us all hours of the day and we can't get enough of it. You have really discovered your fingers nowadays and you love nothing more than to put them in your mouth. Before you eat, after you eat, while I'm changing your clothes, when you're in the bath tub...ALL. THE. TIME. It's pretty darn cute though. I can only imagine how it'll be when you start to teeth. ....can't wait....eek. 

Daddy and I are pretty sure you are only days away from full on laughing out loud. You sort of make a little coo noise when we do things that you like and make you smile. You have now come around to enjoying having daddy blow raspberries on your tummy. It used to terrify you and you'd start to cry whenever he'd do that now you just grin like crazy. So cute. 

If at all possible, you love the bath even more. You now kick your arms and legs the whole time and start to fuss when it's time to get out. Bath time is a favorite around here. You really like to sit up now and sort of get frustrated when you're laying down. I think it's time for a bumbo. You enjoy being able to see everything that's going on around you. 

If at all possible Daddy and I love you more and more everyday. You are beautiful in all your baby cuteness! We love you to the moon and back baby girl!

Mother's Day

So grateful for this beautiful baby girl giving me the greatest gift, becoming a mother. I have loved being  a mom every step of the way. From the sleepless nights to priceless smiles, this has been the best journey of our lives. So thankful for a wonderful husband who has helped me be the best mom I can be and supporting me and our sweet Ever through the rough times and the greatest moments. And as always, I wouldn't be the mother I am today without my own mom. She has shown me what it is to be a mother and I'm grateful for the way she raised me and for her example. I love you mom, and so does our sweet baby Ever.
